Lords of the Fallen (2023) Boss Guide: How to Beat Delyth
Lords of the Fallen is the latest Souls-like game, complete with some winding levels and some pretty tough enemies along the way. The bosses can be challenging and really test your skills to the maximum. Fret not though, our boss guides can help you get through even the toughest challenges that this game will throw your way.
Delyth can be difficult to beat, especially given her varying attacks and the two different phases to fight through. This is also the area boss for the Skyrest Bridge area.
However, we’re here to help you through the worst of it! So without further ado, here’s our strategy for defeating Delyth:
Boss Fight – Scourged Sister Delyth
Alas, pyramid head from Silent Hill has decided to come and pay us a visit. Unfortunately, she’s not playing around. The Scourged Sister is a tough foe and if you get hit by her weapon too much, it’ll inflict Bleed and Holy damage, which continuously damage over time.
It’s also worth noting that Delyth has an Umbral Parasite protecting her and you need to destroy this first before you have any impact on Delyth. This can be found at the bottom of the stairs in the pool of water on the right.
Once you’ve destroyed the parasite, focus on Delyth. She has some big combos, including a two-hit and a three-hit combo. The third, ends with an overhead slam with her weapon that does a fair chunk of damage.
It’s also worth noting that there’s a simple overhead slam she’ll use on its own, and if you get too close, she’s prone to try and kick you away from her too.
The idea here is to attack a few times after the combos and back off, dodging the simple overhead slam and being patient. Bide your time to strike and only hit a few times before backing off.
After knocking her down to about 75% health, back off when Delyth raises her weapon as she’ll cast a Holy attack that will slam into the ground all around her. After, she’ll end up with a yellow halo around her.
Delyth is particularly dangerous here, and will use a new two-hit combo followed by a four-hit combo. This one will end with a twirling slash and it can be difficult to dodge.
Her overhead slam is nasty in this phase, as she’ll jump to your location and slam her weapon down, which can be tough to dodge. She also zips around the arena, closing the distance.
If you’re having real trouble after she casts Holy, you can always back off and let the meter run down, lobbing projectiles from afar to slow her down. However, this is difficult to do given her zippy moves.
Ultimately, you need to strike a few times and use dodge more than parry to avoid those nasty strikes. Eventually, she’ll go down.
While Delyth has some nasty attacks at her disposal, the tips above should help you through this two phase attack in one piece. If you are having issues, be sure to take a break and come back fresh, especially to build up your muscle memory for this one. And of course, you always have your trusty projectiles to lob as well if you’re having difficulty.
When you defeat this foe, you’ll be rewarded with 1x Scourged Sister Flail, 1x Scourged Sister Garb and 1x Vestige Seed.
Beating Delyth is a great achievement and hopefully the guide above should make your life a little easier. Have you beaten this boss? Got some tips that we’ve missed off from this guide that we should include? Let us know in the comments below!
