The third seasons of Reservation Dogs and Only Murders In The Building are arriving on Hulu this month and so too is A Murder At The End Of The World, a brand new whodunnit starring Harris Dickinson and Emma Corrin.

Check out this month’s highlights below and then keep scrolling to take a look at some of the other titles landing on Hulu this August.

Please note: This list is correct at the time of writing but Hulu’s schedule is subject to change.

August 1

Mortal Kombat (2021)

Story-wise, this latest adaptation of the classic fighting game series falls pretty flat. But with lots of great fight scenes, some decent special effects, and fan-pleasing Easter Eggs, this is entertaining enough, even if it doesn’t pull off a ‘flawless victory.’

August 2

Reservation Dogs – Season 3

It’s the third and final season for this warmly funny coming-of-age series that tells the story of four Native American teens living on a reservation in rural Oklahoma.

Here’s the official synopsis for season 3:

“The Rez Dogs find themselves stranded in Cali and have to figure out their way back home. After making it back to Okern, Elora considers the idea of college, Bear comes across a conspiracy theorist named Maximus, Willie Jack grows more invested in healing her community and Cheese, well, he still lives with his grandmother who’s not his grandmother.”

August 3

Demons and Saviors – Limited Series

On April 14, 1992, 22-year-old Christina Boyer was arrested for killing her young daughter. The woman, who was speculated to have telekinetic powers, was sentenced to life for murder. This docuseries examines Christina’s case and follows three amateur detectives who are consumed by their obsession to exonerate this possibly innocent woman.

August 4

Supercell (2023)

Skeet Ulrich, Alec Baldwin, and the late Anne Heche in one of her final acting roles, star in this adventure-drama about a teenage boy who runs away from home to follow in the footsteps of his storm-chasing father.

Sweetwater (2023)

Biographical drama about Hall of Famer, Nat ‘Sweetwater’ Clifton (Everett Osbourne), who made history as the first African American to play in the NBA.

August 8

Only Murders In The Building – Season 3

In this third season of the popular comedy whodunnit, Paul Rudd guest stars as a Hollywood action star whose Broadway debut is cut short when he is murdered. It’s up to Charles, Oliver & Mabel (played by Steve Martin, Martin Short & Selena Gomez), along with Loretta Durkin (Meryl Streep), to go behind the scenes and crack the case!

August 9

Moving – Season 1

This South Korean sci-fi series tells the story of three superpowered teenagers who become close after revealing their extraordinary abilities to one another. Their relatively carefree life is suddenly threatened when a mysterious delivery driver named Frank starts murdering people with powers across Seoul.

August 11

Beautiful Disaster (2023)

Based on the novel of the same name by Jamie McGuire, this new romance film stars Dylan Sprouse and Virginia Gardner as two mismatched college students who inevitably start to fall for one another.

August 16

Miguel Wants to Fight (2023)

Coming-of-age comedy about a high school junior named Miguel who enters into a series of hilarious misadventures with his three best friends as he tries to get into his first-ever fight.

August 18

The Friendship Game (2022)

Peyton List, Brendan Meyer, and Kelsey Mawema star in this sci-fi horror film about a group of small-town teenagers whose friendship is tested when they discover a strange object at a yard sale.

War Of The Worlds: The Attack (2023)

This modern-day reworking of HG Wells’ classic sci-fi novel focuses on 3 young astronomers and their fight to survive a deadly Martian invasion. You shouldn’t expect the big-budget spectacle of Spielberg’s 2015 adaptation as this is a low-budget effort that doesn’t do justice to the original tale.

August 19

To Catch a Killer (2023)

A serial killer is on the loose in Baltimore and it’s up to a rookie detective (Shailene Woodley) to catch this disturbed individual before he strikes again. Ben Mendelson and Ralph Ineson are among the cast of this less-than-gripping thriller.

August 20

Amsterdam (2022)

A large ensemble cast, including Christian Bale, Margot Robbie, and Anya Taylor-Joy star in this 1930s-set tale about 3 friends who find themselves involved in one of the most outrageous plots in American history. Despite the talents in front of and behind the camera, the movie failed to make an impact with many critics.

August 24

How To Blow Up A Pipeline (2022)

This was one of the best movies of last year, according to some critics. Ariela Barer, Kristine Froseth, Sasha Lane, and Lukas Gage are among the cast of this movie that tells the story of a group of climate activists who plot a daring plan to disrupt an oil pipeline.

August 25

Vacation Friends 2 (2023)

Picking up a few months after the end of the last movie, this sequel finds newly married couple Marcus (Lil Rel Howery) and Emily (Yvonne Orji) inviting their uninhibited best friends Ron (John Cena) and Kyla (Meredith Hagner) to an all-expenses paid trip to a Caribbean resort. It’s not long before the couples’ best-laid plans descend into chaos when Kyla’s incarcerated father (Steve Buscemi) turns up on the island after being released from prison

August 27

Malignant (2021)

In James Wans’ bonkers fright-fest, a woman’s abusive husband is killed and the police think she might have committed the murder. Did she do it? Or is the killer someone (or something) else besides? We aren’t going to reveal the movie’s twist here but you might have fun trying to work out the answer if you tune into this creepy and bizarre horror outing from The Conjuring director.

August 29

A Murder at the End of the World – Limited Series

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-Lpezw5XQ44

Formerly known as Retreat, this new mystery series stars Emma Corrin as Darby Hart, a Gen Z amateur sleuth who finds herself thrown into a murder investigation when a guest at a secluded retreat is found dead. Clive Owen, Harris Dickinson, Brit Marling, Alice Braga, and Joan Chen are among the cast of this intriguing new whodunnit.

August 31

Spellbound – Season 1

When a 15-year-old girl relocates from a small town in the US to Paris to study ballet, her dancing dream takes a supernatural turn when she accidentally unleashes magical mysteries into her life after discovering a book of family spells.
